Sports, Games, and Art Activities Provided at the National Taisetsu Friendship Center
Q1. What kind of activities do you provide us?
A. We have many activities you can enjoy, including the following:
① Outdoor Activities
Mountain climbing to Mt. Tokachidake and Mt. Furanodake, Geo-Hiking, Walk Rally, wild bird watching, wild plant watching, etc.
② Learning Activities
Study projects, forums, and discussion sessions in each room.
③ Art & Culture Activities
Crafting, choir, plays, movies, Japanese calligraphy, artwork, etc.
④ Sports Activities
Tennis, table tennis, judo, kendo, basketball, baseball, badminton, volleyball, cycling, etc.
⑤ Fun Activities
Candle Service, campfire, recreational games, and many others. You can also create your own activities!

Q2. Please tell me about your facilities for the activities.
A. We provide eight training rooms, a music lounge, an audiovisual room, a craft hall, an auditorium with a stage that can accommodate 400 people, a multipurpose room, a gym, a martial arts hall called Budokan, two tennis courts, a sports field, and a campfire site.
Projectors compatible with PCs, slides, OHP, and other audiovisual equipment are also available.
Climbing to Mt. Tokachidake and Mt. Furanodake, hiking courses, and Walk Rally courses around the facility are also available.
Q3. Can you suggest what we should do for the activities at your facilities?
A. Certainly. Send us an email or call us, and feel free to ask about how to use our facilities and participate in the activities.

Q4. What are the key points to keep in mind when creating a program?
A. The key points are to clearly define the objectives of the activity and to design a program with some flexibility, taking into account the group’s size, age, and experience. Please feel free to contact us.
Q5. Can you lend us the materials for tennis, table tennis, and park golf?
A. Yes. Feel free to use them and other sporting materials on the premises.
You can also use the balls and rackets in the gym and Budokan.
Q6. Can I borrow a bike for cycling?
A. Unfortunately, we have no bikes for cycling. Please bring your own.
Q7. Can I borrow materials for skiing?
A. Cross-country skiing equipment is available to rent for a fee of 400 yen per set, as of January 2024.
We have no materials to lend out for alpine skiing.
